The Politics of India works inside the framework of the nation’s structure. India is a federal parliamentary democratic republic wherein the President of India is the head of state and the Prime Minister of India is the head of presidency. India follows the twin polity system, i.e. a double authorities (federal in nature) that consists of the central authority on the centre and states on the periphery. The structure defines the organisational powers and limitations of each central and state governments, and it’s properly recognised, inflexible and thought of supreme; i.e. the legal guidelines of the nation should affirm to it.
