I am a Natutalized American Citizen with Filipino roots. What is happening in this country is akin to that of the Philippines back in 1986 with the people power movement to overthrow the dictatorship of then President Marcos. The January 6 insurrection reminded me of the mob of people that marched through Edsa and some that broke into the Malacañang palace. In Trump's case, it is reversed, he is the dictator that wants to overthrow a democratic government. For the Philippines and the US that only seem to have 2 prominent parties…it's not a good choice, both can be corrupt or corrupted.

Ben, Michael… This has always been about the SCOTUS from the criminal perspective… SCOTUS showed their hand during oral argumentsw regarding the CO ballot hearing… The complety whiffed on the Constitutional issues around 14-3 and insurrection, instead focusing on the issue of a state being able to kick a candidate for national office off the ballot. Given that, what makes either of you think SCOTUS will allow Trump to stand trial before the elcction? They didn't have the courage to do the right thing last week. Why should we expect anything different this time around?
